Des Moines, IA? Polk County Republican Party and the Robb Kelley Club officials announce today that former United States Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton will address the Third Annual Robb Kelley Club Dinner May 24, 2012 at the Marriott Hotel, 700 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA.
Polk GOP Chairman Kevin McLaughlin and Robb Kelley Club Chairman Steve Roberts told the Polk County Republican Central Committee members, ?We are absolutely delighted to have such an outstanding speaker with the foreign policy credentials of Ambassador Bolton at a time when Americans face very tough issues with a nuclear Iran, North Korea and threats of rising oil prices.?
Ambassador Bolton regularly appears on national cable news networks as a Senior Foreign Policy expert and is a regular contributor to the Fox News Network. Mr. Bolton served as the United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations from August 2005 to December 2006. Ambassador Bolton served as Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security also in the President George W. Bush Administration. He currently is a Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
Ambassador Bolton has endorsed Republican Presidential candidate Governor Mitt Romney and serves as a surrogate speaker for the leading GOP 2012 Nominee. Bolton is often mentioned by GOP leaders as a potential candidate for Secretary of State in a Republican Administration. Ambassador Bolton is expected to make comments regarding his support for Governor Romney during his speech, said Polk County Republican officials.
